On the occasion of the festival of the Fifth Venerable Mandarin, Governor General, we are excited to share an illustration in our upcoming project, A Chest of Sacred Regalia.

The illustration is of a thanh đồng (priest) performing the session of the Fifth Venerable Mandarin. The priest wears a blue Tấc dress with a dragon pattern on the chest. He holds a dragon glaive, a ritualistic object associated with the Fifth Mandarin.
