… In Minh Lương’s romantic realm, so fair,
(An excerpt from the court literature hymn dedicated to the Little Mistress of Minh Lương. Transliterated by Four Palaces – Tứ Phủ).
The young goddess guides rafts with utmost care.
One for the lucky, blessings in their stride,
One for those struggling, in troubles to confide.
One raft transports medicines from the peaks,
Another aids the hungry, ill and weak.
For those on the righteous path She steers,
One raft sails for the sick, calming their fears.
From danger’s grip, She rescues souls astray,
Assisting those who farm wild lands, bridge the way.
Upon Her shoulders, sacred remedies She bears,
Divine nectar brewed, Her divine doctor’s wares.
Tranquil rain and winds on mountains high,
She embodies virtue, noble and spry.
A maiden of Minh Lương, loyal and true,
In Her presence, grace and goodness bloom anew.”
Today is the festival honoring the Little Mistress of Minh Lương, one of the Little Mistresses of Mountain. She presides over the Lăng Quán area, Tuyên Quang Province.
