Four Palaces - Tứ Phủ Portrait of the Third Mistress of Water - Divine Portraits project x Tree

This is the third painting created by Tree for our project, Divine Portraits. The artwork depicts the Third Mistress of Water as She gracefully navigates through the countryside in Her boat.

The Third Mistress delights in navigating Her dragon boat alone, exploring picturesque landscapes or answering the summons of the Mother Goddess to visit the palace. Her compassionate nature leads Her to assist people wherever She goes. Legend has it that those facing unjust suffering can seek solace from the Third Mistress, while those in dire health can appeal to Her for healing remedies.

The painting depicts the Third Mistress adorned in a white Lập Lĩnh (standing-collared) dress paired with an ombre Đối Khâm (parallel-paneled) jacket. She accessorizes with a gold body chain and earrings adorned with red coral beads. Wrapped around Her arms is Her distinctive pink sash, utilized for measuring the movements of waves, wind, and clouds. Her hair is elegantly styled in a Lươn turban, with wisps tucked neatly around Her head. Completing Her ensemble is a white Quai Thao (silk strap) hat adorned with a delicate pearl net along the brim.
